Armed Robberies Reported - List of Locations
Twelve armed robberies have taken place over the last two months in Chicago's Humboldt Park, Logan Square and Wicker Park neighborhoods.
I am working with all the Police Commanders in the 26th Ward to ensure that all women in the area have stepped up protection during this time. In the meantime, please forward this message to alert your friends and family and keep them safe.

Police say in the 12 incidents a man approached women from behind and stole their purses, money and cell phones.

Roof, Porch and Heating Repairs for Low-Income Homeowners Sign Up - Jan 1, 2012
Phone 311 after midnight on New Year's Eve to be the first to apply!
Roof and Porch Repair/Replacement
Applicants must call Chicago's City Services at 311 anytime after January 1, 2012 to be placed on the intake list for services. The Department of Housing and Economic Development (HED) will accept applicants based on available funding.
Heating Unit Repair/Replacement
Applicants must call 311 between October 27 and March 3rd, 2012. Improvements are limited to the repair and replacement of heating units.
